SUMMARY

Education and Training:

Min N. Thai was born in Eagle Rock, California and attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a Physical Chemistry concentration in the year 2001.

Thereafter, Min studied law at Loyola Law School where she was placed on the Dean’s List in the years 2003 and 2004.  She earned First Honors Awards in Constitutional Law and Public Interest Law by earning the highest mark in each of those classes.  Min received her Juris Doctor degree in the year 2004, and finished in the top ten percent of her class.  Loyola Law School recognized Min as a Sayre MacNeil Scholar in the years 2003 and 2004.

During law school, Min trained for the practice of law as a judicial extern in the chambers of the Honorable Judge Robert M. Takasugi in the United States District Court, Central District.  There, Min observed trials and attorneys from a judicial perspective. Min also worked as a law clerk for appellate specialists at the law firm Dunn Koes.

Practice:

Min practices as a litigation attorney.  Her primary areas of practice include personal injury, probate or trust litigation, real estate, and business litigation and counseling.

Families and victims entrust Min with their cases in catastrophic injury, physical and sexual abuse, and products liability matters.  Min uses her unique combination of compassion and veracity to obtain compensation for clients and serve the ends of justice.  Min’s representation of clients in personal injury and abuse cases has generated settlements in the millions.

Businesses and individuals rely on Min to provide sound and proactive advice in all aspects of their matters.  She provides general counsel to businesses and entrepreneurs on daily transactions and contracts to prevent litigation and consult in the structure of their business.  Min also also represents businesses and individuals in trials to achieve economical results.  She equally shares her clients’ desires to see their own businesses succeed and prosper.

Similarly, Min assists real estate professionals and land owners with issues concerning ownership, closing, title, or land disputes.  She advises on all aspects of real estate transactions or disputes in and out of court.  Min is always mindful of resolving real property issues in the most expeditious and economical manner possible.

Min’s passion is trial work.  With her help, a client prevailed at trial in a will contest challenging the designation of the client as the sole beneficiary of a will.  Min represented the client through the inception of the lawsuit and the following appeal.  The client ultimately received a piece of real property worth over one million dollars.

Min also represented a client at trial in a trust contest.  The client successfully retained his rights as a beneficiary of his parents’ trust that favored him above other siblings, allowing him to receive real property and other assets.

Finally, Min successfully represented a business in a jury trial and was able to achieve a favorable outcome that minimized the financial impact of litigation on that business.
