SUMMARY

Education and Training

Pamela K. Tahim graduated with a J.D. and LLM in Taxation from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 2005. Pamela was the sole recipient in her graduating class of the USD Excellence in Trial Advocacy Award for her achievements in oral advocacy.

As a competitor for the National USD Mock Trial Team, Pamela’s team was first in the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego Trial Advocacy Competition and advanced to the final championship round in the Western Regional Competition of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA). Pamela also received the Best Oral Advocate Award for the Appellate Moot Court Competition and the CALI Award for Tax Litigation. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the USD Order of Barristers.

During law school, Pamela worked as a law clerk in the civil division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office and as a student attorney in the USD Tax Clinic. She also worked as a law clerk at a premier plaintiffs’ litigation firm while in law school.

Prior to law school, Pamela received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Spanish at UCLA. She is multi-lingual in Spanish, Hindi and Punjabi.

Practice Areas

Pamela’s practice includes general civil litigation and transactional services in the areas of business, employment law, real estate and estate planning.

Pamela represents business owners, individuals, employers and employees in a wide range of business and employment disputes, including embezzlement, breach of contract, discrimination, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, retaliation, and other related torts. She also represents real estate professionals and consumer clients with various real estate disputes including, but not limited to, easement rights, property ownership, failure to disclose, and leasehold disputes. Transactional services in these areas include counseling, drafting documents and assisting clients with taking appropriate measures to avoid litigation. She also assists clients with estate planning to minimize tax liability and protect their assets.

Community Involvement

Pamela has been heavily involved in her local community and the South Asian Bar Association, Public Interest Foundation in which she served as a Board Member from 2006 – 2010. She served as the President of the South Asian Bar Association, Public Interest Foundation for Southern California from 2008 – 2009, Vice President from 2006-2008 and Director from 2009-2010. The Foundation raises funds to provide critical legal and social services to the South Asian community in Southern California. Pamela also served the Treasurer and Trustee for the North American South Asian Bar Association Foundation from 2008-2010. Pamela is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
