Firm Recognized for Support of Arc
Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle was recognized for their support of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by the Arc of Southeast Los Angeles County at the organization’s annual Inaugural Banquet on June 23, 2009.
Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle was honored by Arc for Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle’s contribution as a Platinum Sponsor of Arc’s largest annual fund raising effort, the Arc Walk for Independence. This year’s walk was held on March 28, 2009 at the Stonewood Shopping Center in Downey, California, with over 3,500 walkers and thousands of dollars raised for Arc’s programs.
As stated in their Mission Statement, the Arc of Southeast Los Angeles County “is committed to providing for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities the ability to form and work towards goals through training and education, based on their individual abilities. Arc of Southeast Los Angeles County is further committed to helping to reduce and limit the incidence and consequences of intellectual and other developmental disabilities through education research, advocacy and the support of families, friends and community.”
Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle has been a long time supporter of Arc and has employed someone through the Arc program with intellectual or developmental disabilities for the past 15 years. Since 1997, the law firm has been a steady supporter of the Arc Walk for Independence as well. Tredway, Lumsdaine & Doyle is looking forward to supporting the next Arc Walk for Independence on March 27, 2010.
