SUMMARY
Mark Doyle, joined the firm in 1981 and became a partner in 1988. He represents individuals and closely held businesses in a full range of corporate, tax and estate planning matters. He has extensive experience representing small business owners, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals and families.
Mr. Doyle's areas of experience include planning, formation and operation of entities for business and estate planning purposes, including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. Mr. Doyle works closely with his clients in developing and coordinating plans for addressing the client's family and business objectives. These objectives often overlap in planning for the succession and continuity of corporate control.
In his practice Mr. Doyle advises clients in the most advantageous use of gifts, life insurance, employee death benefits, charitable dispositions, and other forms of asset ownership. He focuses on shifting future wealth tax-free to beneficiaries and reducing estate tax liabilities on existing wealth. The strategies he employs include trusts, including life insurance and charitable trusts, as well as family limited partnerships.
His recent engagements include recapitalization of a rapidly appreciating closely held family business from the owners and transfer to their children through family limited partnership. For a real estate developer he recently formed a charitable trust to effectuate the transfer of high appreciated commercial property.
Mr. Doyle is A-V Rated by Martindale Hubbell and is part of a select network of pre-qualified attorneys providing advice to high net worth individuals and business owners for UBS throughout the United States. He has lectured for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Lorman Education Services and various other groups on business and estate planning.
Mr. Doyle earned a Masters in Law in Taxation with High Distinction from Loyola Law School in 2005, he received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from Loyola Marymount University in 1980, and his JD from Loyola Law School in 1983. Mr. Doyle is a member of the Orange County Estate Planning Council, Hoag Hospital's 552 Club, the Balboa Bay Club, and Board Member of the Mater Dei Quarterback Club.
